In Mount&Blade, the player will generally rely upon their war party to carry fights that they and their heroes alone would not be capable of handling. Understanding the differences between the troops they can recruit and train, and how to command them to gain their fullest benefit, is the key to success as a military commander. When you start your kingdom, you should have enough cash on hand so that you do not worry about economy in the short term. Thus, your main concerns should be about defensiblity. Unless you are feeling tough enough to take on everyone, the central cities, such as Dhirim, Uxkhal, Halmar, etc. are very hard to defend. What is the best horse archer in Bannerlord? Do you really need them in your army? And are they actually useful?0:00 Intro1:25 Speed test9:03 20 vs 50 Shield

Every single Khergit soldier from Tier 2 comes with a horse. Swadian [] The Swadian Knights are arguably the single best cavalry unit in the game, sporting the heaviest armor, the heaviest horses and the longest lances while also wielding swords and shields for close combat, they are more or less unmatched in every single area of mounted combat.
For the specific unit, see Bandit (Unit). Bandits are neutral criminals that roam Calradia. Bandits engage everyone, including the player, small kingdom parties, caravans, village farmers, and any other parties smaller than their own. They usually demand money from the player character and will attack if not paid. If the player has slain multiple groups of bandits and is accosted by them, they
This thread isn't asking who has the best units or which one is your favorite, rather this thread is trying to rank what faction accomplishes the most with what they are given to work with. How much of the map are they able to conquer without player influence. What factions regularly come out as the top faction in your games and which ones wind up going extinct.
The Rhodoks have the best anti-cavalry unit and are pretty decent in close combat. IMO they are slow, and are not meant for beserker-type assault the Nords are good at doing. But a line of Rhodok spearmen is a deadly trap against any frontal cavalry charge. The infantry of the other kingdoms range from poor to decent.

This unit can shake off almost any unit throughout the game, but it evenly matched between the Vaegir Knight and the Sarranid Mamluke. This unit isn't designed for castle defense but works well anyway, this unit works better out in the field. An army of around 30 of these Swadian Knights could take on most armies, although it's not recommended.

Adding to the already two correct comments: you can recruit elite troops from the respective bandit unit with a leadership perk. For example a forest bandit Upgrades to the Battanian Fian Champions, steppe bandits upgrade to the Khuzait Khans Guard and Sea Raiders upgrade to the Druzhinik Champions. GetAssista. • 1 yr. ago.

With just 100, I've taken 1200. I'm not bsing either. They are the absolute best calvary, but they can also hold a fight on foot. Having said that, I think Rhodoks make the best crossbowmen, Vaegirs make the best archers, Nords make the best infantry (the Hurshels are dragon slayers), and Swadians make the best calvary.
