I had the same issue. It would sometimes work and sometimes EA servers would not connect. I wonder if they reduced dedicated server resources for Dead Space 3. The game did not sell well or generate micro transactions for EA. I always try to finish EA coop games like Dead Space 3 and Army of Two first. Not sure when the servers might not work.
I do not like co-op of multiplayer mainly because I am disabled. I am to slow compared to most gamers. and before people out there yell at me, yes I tried it. hated it royally. for almost 72 hours straight I tried to find a co-op partner. however, no matter who I matched with, they went to fast. I am considering purchasing a new copy of Dead Space 3 and Awakened DLC for my laptop so I can connect with my PC version from 6 years ago and enjoy co-op for the first time. My nephew is finally of age to enjoy games at their full gore and foul language (figured we celebrate with one of the best jump scares I remember as a kid).

So I was wondering if I can still play Dead Space 3 Co-Op on the PS4, I got it up and running, but for whatever reason I am unable to connect to EA servers whenever I try connecting it, it keeps saying to try again later. I have check the servers for the game and it is all up and running, only thing I have the Dead Space 3 Limited Edition Region 1 disc version of the game and the purchase online pass option is greyed out when I select co-op. The PSN Store has two online passes for the game listed (Regular & Limited Edition) but no download button to aquire them.
