I had the engine check/warning light come on (my car is a 2002 XKR 4.0) a few weeks back, and checked the ODB code - P1646. I read up a lot on this code and it seems for my car it means "Fuel pump relay 2 malfunction" rather than something to do with the O2 sensors. As the car was driving fine I tried resetting the code and kept my eye on it.
2005 S-Type R 4.2l. Poor power under acceleration. Barely make it to 40 mph. Restricted Performance warning and check Engine light comes on. Vehicle bucks and hesitates and loud pinging sound from engine when the warnings come on.

69 posts · Joined 2011. #1 · Sep 9, 2012. Here we go again, just got all over-heating sorted, and now restricted performance and P0327 with P0332. Its got to go for an MOT next friday. Voltage in battery well up, been on charge for a week! so not counting a battery problem. Have checked and cleaned all earths under the bonnet.
